Eligibility Criteria
What are the legal requirements for civil partnership dissolution?
The legal requirements for a civil partnership dissolution are the same as for divorce, except for adultery. Therefore, you will need to show:
• unreasonable behaviour
• desertion for two years or more
• separation for two years with consent from the other party (consent from the other party is required)
• separation for five years without consent required (no consent required)
If you cite unreasonable behavior, we will carefully draft the petition to avoid unnecessary escalation.
